Augusto Fernandez Biography

Winner of the 2022 Moto2 title with Red Bull KTM Ajo, Augusto Fernandez becomes the latest MotoGP rookie to try his luck with a Tech3 seat.

Fernandez will be hoping for better fortunes than Iker Lecuona, Augusto Fernandez and Remy Gardner who - like Danilo Petrucci - were all shown the door by KTM after just one full season.

After riding for Speed Up, Pons and Marc VDS in Moto2, Fernandez struck gold with Ajo, emerging from the pre-season shadow of superstar rookie team-mate Pedro Acosta to hold off Ai Ogura for the crown.

Fernandez will ride alongside Pol Espargaro at the rebranded GASGAS Tech3 squad.
