Ducati decisions

Rising star Marco Bezzecchi turned down a potential switch to Pramac and staying at VR46 Ducati, opening the door for Franco Morbidelli to join Pramac. He had earlier been axed from Yamaha.

But the biggest change in the Ducati line-up will be the arrival of eight-time world champion Marc Marquez, who will join younger brother Alex on year-old Desmosedicis at the Gresini Ducati team.

Ducati will keep faith with Enea Bastianini as a factory rider, alongside Francesco Bagnaia, despite an injury-ravaged debut year in red.

Honda turmoil

Marc Marquez confirmed he will quit Honda at the end of 2023, ending their 11-year association. Honda are yet to decide who takes over his factory bike.

Alex Rins, who only joined Honda a year ago, confirmed he would leave to join Yamaha in 2024. His place at LCR Honda will be taken by Johann Zarco, who joins from Pramac Ducati, but there are rumours Zarco might now be moved to Repsol.

Other possible Honda targets to take over from Marquez are Miguel Oliveira and Maverick Vinales.

Yamaha's new duo

Franco Morbidelli was confirmed as dropped earlier this year, and soon after Alex Rins confirmed that he would swap LCR Honda for Yamaha next year. He will join Fabio Quartararo.

KTM solve conundrum

Pol Espargaro became the victim as KTM had five riders contracted for just four bikes.

Jack Miller and Brad Binder will continue as the unchanged factory duo. Pedro Acosta will graduate from Moto2 into MotoGP with the Tech3 GASGAS team alongside Augusto Fernandez.

Espargaro will miss out on a full-time seat but will stay within the KTM ranks and will race in 2024 as a wild card.
